Updated:

The transfer crosses the interior before reaching the Bay of Alcudia

Can Picafort is in the north of Mallorca, in the municipality of Santa Margalida. From PMI the route heads up the central corridor of the island and on to the Bay of Alcudia before reaching the Can Picafort seafront.

The final stretch runs through one continuous resort

Near the end, Playa de Muro and Can Picafort follow each other along the same bay. Hotels that look close together can belong to different resorts.

The full hotel name defines where the transfer ends and keeps Can Picafort from being confused with Playa de Muro.

Can Picafort centre and Son Bauló are not the same drop-off

Can Picafort runs lengthwise along the sea. The centre, the harbour and Son Bauló are separate sectors.

West

Coming from Playa de Muro

Hotels at the western entrance are closer to the Playa de Muro corridor and are reached before the centre.

Centre

Town and promenade

The core has the town beach, marina, shops and much of the hotel and restaurant offer.

East

Son Bauló

The eastern end of the resort, by the mouth of the stream and the Son Real nature area.

Staying in Son Bauló? Say so

Son Bauló is known locally as a separate area at the east end of town. If your accommodation is there, write it on the booking rather than a generic Can Picafort point.

Is Playa de Muro part of Can Picafort?

No. Playa de Muro is about 6.6 km from Can Picafort and covers a long beach divided into sectors. Being neighbours, the two often appear together, but they should not be swapped on a booking.

Can Picafort

Municipality of Santa Margalida

The resort occupies the eastern part of the Bay of Alcudia and continues towards Son Bauló and Son Real.

Playa de Muro

Municipality of Muro

Stretches west before Can Picafort and has its own transfer page from PMI.

Hotels where a precise address avoids confusion

Hotels are spread between the seafront, the inner streets and Son Bauló. The exact accommodation places the drop-off in a long, narrow resort.

Alcudia road

Grupotel Gran Vista & Spa

At Ctra. Artà–Pto. Alcudia 68, in Can Picafort, in a different part of town from the Son Bauló hotels.

Centre

Promenade hotels

Seafront hotels cluster around the centre and the promenade, close to shops and restaurants.

Son Bauló

Eastern-end hotels

Beyond the centre for anyone arriving from Playa de Muro and Alcudia.

Places that help you locate each part of Can Picafort

Coast

Can Picafort beach

Part of the great sandy arc of the Bay of Alcudia and the centre of the resort's activity.

East

Son Bauló beach

About 160 metres long, by the mouth of the stream, where a very different natural setting begins.

Heritage

Son Bauló megalithic tomb

A burial site dated to around 1700 BC, a unique landmark on the eastern side of Can Picafort.

Nature

Son Real

The Son Real estate continues east from Son Bauló and marks a clear break from the built-up seafront.

West

Playa de Muro

Begins a few kilometres from Can Picafort and runs for more than five kilometres towards Alcudia.

Centre

Can Picafort harbour

A central reference that separates the town centre from Son Bauló and from the hotels towards Playa de Muro.
