Alcúdia
The walled historic town. If you are staying here, the transfer ends somewhere quite different from the large beachfront hotels.
The transfer from PMI to Alcudia covers about 60 km and usually takes 55–60 minutes along the Ma-13. The journey may end in the walled old town of Alcúdia, in Port d'Alcúdia or at a hotel several kilometres further round the bay in Platja d'Alcúdia, so your Zonetransfers driver heads for the address on your booking, not for a generic point in town.
Updated:
About 55 to 60 minutes for roughly 60 km. Alcudia lies in the north of Mallorca, between the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença, and the route crosses the island northwards mostly on the Ma-13 motorway: a very different trip from the short runs to Palma or Can Pastilla.
The Ma-13 is one of the island's main roads and traffic builds up in the peak tourist months. Heading from Alcudia back to the airport with a flight you cannot miss, leave extra margin.
Reaching the municipality is not the same as reaching your hotel: the last stretch depends on which part of Alcudia you are staying in.
This difference matters more on this route than almost anywhere else on the island. The municipality groups several resort and residential areas, so writing only "Alcudia" is less precise than giving the hotel or the full address.

The harbour and resort area by the bay, with hotels, apartments, restaurants and the marina.
The beach strip runs southeast from Port d'Alcúdia, with many hotels lined up along the shore.
Even local signs treat Alcúdia, Port d'Alcúdia and Platja d'Alcúdia as separate places. On a private transfer, the exact accommodation fixes from the start where the journey ends.
Passengers arriving from outside the Schengen area may have to clear passport control before reaching the baggage hall.
PMI has 19 baggage reclaim belts, one of them for oversized items such as bikes or golf bags.
Aena's general meeting point is in the centre of the arrivals floor, opposite the information desk; your driver waits in the public arrivals area with your name.
The town, hotel or address on the Bay of Alcúdia is already set in your booking, so the car heads straight there.
Booking the exact destination pays off most in the Bay of Alcúdia: hotels are not grouped around one square, but spread between the old town, the harbour and several kilometres of seafront.
A good reference for accommodation near the marina and the start of the seafront.
A separate area further along the beach, with its own name locally and its own access streets.
The walled inland core, functionally separate from Port d'Alcúdia and the beachfront hotels.
Medieval walls, narrow streets and historic buildings, a world apart from the coastal resort.
The remains of the Roman town lie right next to the old town walls.
Most hotels and holiday apartments line the bay, from the harbour towards the beaches.
Harbour, promenade and tourist services form a second centre, clearly separate from historic Alcúdia.
Count back from your departure time: 3 h for a Spanish or Schengen flight, 3 h 30 min for the UK, Ireland or another non-Schengen country. That is the time Zonetransfers sets for the pick-up in Alcudia.
| Your flight | Pick-up before departure |
|---|---|
| Within Spain or the Schengen zone | 3 h |
| UK, Ireland, US or other non-Schengen | 3 h 30 min |
In July and August, and on summer Saturdays when holiday rentals change over, traffic on the Ma-13 builds up; ask for a slightly earlier pick-up.
About 55 to 60 minutes for some 60 km on the Ma-13 motorway, a little longer in peak-season traffic.
The private transfer from Palma Airport to Alcudia starts from €85 per vehicle, not per person. The final fixed fare depends on the exact hotel, date, passengers and luggage, and you see it before paying.
No. Alcúdia old town is inland behind its walls, Port d'Alcúdia is by the harbour and Platja d'Alcúdia stretches along the bay; the hotel name tells the driver which one is yours.
In the public arrivals hall of Palma de Mallorca Airport, once you have your luggage, holding a sign with your name. If you cannot see the driver, PMI's general meeting point is in the centre of the arrivals floor, opposite the information desk.
Per vehicle. The fixed fare covers the private car or minivan for your whole party, with fuel, tolls, VAT, flight tracking and waiting time included.
