Athens Airport is in Spata, about 34 km east of the city centre. A pre-booked private transfer takes you to Syntagma, Plaka or any Athens hotel in 35–45 minutes, from €63 per vehicle for up to four passengers. Your driver tracks the flight, waits at the arrivals exit with a name sign, and the price includes tolls, luggage and 60 minutes of waiting from landing, at any hour.

Many travellers land in Athens to catch a boat. Athens has three passenger ports, and each one serves different islands. Check the port on your ticket before booking your transfer:
The big cruise and ferry port, about 51 km and 50–60 minutes from the airport. Ferries to Crete, the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the Saronic islands.
The port closest to the airport, about 15 km and 25 minutes away. Ferries to Andros, Tinos and Mykonos, and in season to Paros, Naxos, Ios and Santorini.
South-east of the airport, about 38 km away. Mainly ferries to Kea and Kythnos.

Many flights land in Athens after midnight, especially in summer. Your transfer works exactly the same at any hour: the driver waits in arrivals, the price stays fixed and there is no night supplement. For families arriving late, child seats are already fitted when you reach the car.
