A private transfer from Barcelona Airport (El Prat) to Comarruga covers around 58 km and takes roughly 40 minutes via the C-32. When booking, it is worth checking the exact address: Comarruga is El Vendrell’s best-known beach area, but the municipality also includes Sant Salvador and El Francàs. Your hotel or apartment address therefore determines the drop-off point. Indicative prices start from €897 for 1–4 passengers and from €108 for 5–8.
Barcelona-El Prat has two terminals several kilometres apart, so your meeting point depends on where your flight arrives. The same pickup procedure applies whether Comarruga is your final destination or you are staying elsewhere in El Vendrell.
The usual route follows the C-32 motorway through the Garraf and Penedès areas. Since November 2024, the section between El Vendrell and Sitges — the section relevant to Comarruga — has been free from Monday to Friday for drivers who complete the return journey within 24 hours and are registered in the mobility scheme with Via-T. Weekend travel and connections with the southern AP-7 remain tolled. For a private transfer, this does not change what you pay: the quoted fare is fixed per vehicle, regardless of the day of travel, and the driver handles the route.

Comarruga has more than 2 km of fine sandy beach, but its most distinctive feature is the Riuet. This natural spring produces warm water at around 18–21ºC throughout the year. It rises from the limestone rocks of the Bonastre massif, flows through the ornamental Estany and reaches the seafront as a shallow sandy-bottomed channel. The water was declared medicinal by the Royal Academy of Medicine of Barcelona in 1892. Today, the Riuet remains a particular attraction for families with young children and older visitors: the water is warm, shallow and sheltered from waves, making this part of Comarruga different from a conventional beach bathing area. If your party includes a baby or someone with reduced mobility, you can request a drop-off closer to this section of the seafront.
Comarruga also has a useful rail connection nearby. Sant Vicenç de Calders station is around 3 km from central El Vendrell and lies within the wider Comarruga area. The station has 18 tracks and connects services on the Madrid–Barcelona line, Rodalies R2 Sud and R4, as well as medium-distance trains towards Camp de Tarragona and the Levante region. This can be useful when a group is splitting its journey — for example, with some passengers staying on the coast while others continue by train towards Tarragona or Valencia. A private airport transfer can cover the airport-to-accommodation section before the rest of the journey continues by rail. During temporary Rodalies works affecting the station, travelling directly by private vehicle also avoids relying on the replacement buses used by Renfe.
If you are travelling as a large family, splitting your group between the beach and the railway station, or moving guests from several rooms at the same hotel, see our minibus and bus hire with driver in Barcelona. For vehicle and luggage options according to your group, see the Zonetransfers fleet.
Comarruga belongs to the municipality of El Vendrell, the birthplace of cellist Pau Casals. His house museum is just over 2.5 km from central Comarruga and hosts the Pau Casals Festival each summer, attracting concert-goers from across the Baix Penedès area. If your itinerary combines a beach stay with one of these cultural events, mentioning it when you book can help when arranging your airport pickup or return journey, particularly when local traffic around the town increases after concerts.
El Vendrell is the municipality, while Comarruga, Sant Salvador and El Francàs are its three coastal areas. The main town of El Vendrell is inland. The route and journey time can therefore vary slightly depending on where you are staying, so provide the full accommodation address when booking.
Yes. The fare is fixed per vehicle and journey, whether or not a toll applies on the relevant section on the day of travel. The weekday arrangement introduced in 2024 does not alter the quoted transfer price.
Yes. If you want to be closer to the Riuet section of the seafront, mention this when booking. The Riuet is a shallow, warm-water channel with a sandy bottom and no waves, which can be particularly relevant for families and passengers with reduced mobility.
Yes. Sant Vicenç de Calders is the local rail hub, around 3 km from central El Vendrell and within the wider Comarruga area. A private transfer can be combined with onward rail travel for part of the group, including journeys towards Tarragona or Valencia.
This is a private transfer using a chauffeur-driven vehicle (VTC), rather than a metered taxi. The price is fixed per vehicle and journey and is confirmed when you book, with no extra charge on arrival. The vehicle category can be selected according to the number of passengers and your group’s requirements.
