From Malpensa the car takes the A36 Pedemontana, a barrier-free electronic toll motorway linking the A8 with the A9 just before Como.

Como is the closest lake town to Malpensa and the main ferry hub. Many travellers spend a first night here and continue by boat to Bellagio or Tremezzo; we drop you at your hotel or right by the Piazza Cavour pier.
