Logroño
A major stop on the Camino Francés, in the heart of La Rioja.
The journey from Bilbao to Zaragoza is the longest route in the Zonetransfers network from Bilbao, following the AP-68 throughout. It is also a route where the cost of the motorway changes on a specific date: from 11 November 2026, the motorway will come under public management and the sections in Aragon, La Rioja, Navarre and Burgos will become toll-free, while the Basque Country retains a reduced toll using a new barrier-free number-plate recognition system. The transfer is private, chauffeur-driven and quoted at a fixed fare when booked.
Bilbao and Zaragoza do not currently have a direct high-speed rail connection. The so-called Basque Y, which will eventually give Bilbao access to Spain's high-speed rail network, is still under construction and is not operational. For travellers who need to make the journey between the two cities in a single day, a direct road transfer avoids long rail journeys involving connections.

Until 11 November 2026, the full AP-68 toll between Bilbao and Zaragoza for a passenger car is around €39. From that date, once the motorway comes under public management, the sections in Aragon, La Rioja, Navarre and Burgos will become toll-free. Bizkaia and Álava will retain a reduced toll using Interbiak's new barrier-free number-plate recognition system. This substantially reduces the overall motorway charge. If your journey can take place after this date, the toll cost will be considerably lower; the fixed transfer fare is adjusted according to the toll regime in force on the date of booking.
Zaragoza has its own airport, but its scheduled passenger network is limited. Travellers looking for more flight frequencies or international connections may find a wider choice through Bilbao. A private road transfer can be useful if your itinerary includes time in the Basque Country before continuing to Aragon, or if the flight to Bilbao is significantly cheaper. It removes the need to rely on Zaragoza's more limited air network once you land. If Zaragoza is your only destination and there is a suitable direct flight, compare that option before booking your transfer.

Yes. On journeys lasting more than two and a half hours, a short rest stop can be agreed when booking, at no additional charge within reasonable limits.
This is a private chauffeur-driven vehicle service (VTC), not a metered taxi. The fare is fixed per vehicle and journey, is known at the time of booking and does not change according to the actual time spent on the road.
