A-44 to the coast
Same road as Motril, through the Lecrín Valley.
Almuñécar is where Granada goes to the beach: San Cristóbal under the Peñón del Santo, San Miguel castle, the botanical garden of El Majuelo and, ten minutes west, La Herradura bay, a favourite for diving.
Allow about 55 min for 75 km on the A-44 and A-7, in a car that is yours alone.

When a trip starts at an airport, the driver follows your flight and greets you with a name sign: that is a separate booking from rides leaving the city.
From €140 for the whole car, a standard vehicle for up to four people. That price takes you to your address in Almuñécar, Velilla or Cotobro and is fixed when you book. La Herradura and Marina del Este may differ slightly depending on the exact address, and the form shows you the amount before you pay.
Around 55 minutes for about 75 km, first on the A-44 to the coast and then west on the A-7. It is motorway all the way and an easy drive. On summer Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings it is worth allowing an extra quarter of an hour for traffic. The driver can drop you right on the seafront.
Yes. La Herradura is about ten minutes past Almuñécar, and the driver will drop you on the seafront, at the Marina del Este harbour or at your home. It is a popular spot for divers; if you are bringing diving gear, mention it when booking so there is space in the boot.
When you confirm the booking, by card through a secure payment page. On the day you hand nothing to the driver. The amount you accept is final for that vehicle and route, even with roadworks or queues. Travelling on business? Add your company details and the invoice is issued in the company's name.
