The old town and Bahnhofstrasse have pedestrian and restricted streets; the driver knows where a car can stop.
Zurich is Switzerland's main gateway and the closest major airport to the eastern Alps. A Zonetransfers driver meets you in the Airport Center arrivals hall and takes you to your hotel in central Zurich in 20 to 30 minutes from €95 per vehicle, or on to Lucerne, Interlaken, Davos or St. Moritz with winter tyres and room for skis.
For a comfortable ride from ZRH into Zurich, book a private car in advance. The driver is in the arrivals hall when you come out, follows the A51 south and enters Zurich through Oerlikon and the Milchbuck tunnel. In 20 to 30 minutes you are on Bahnhofstrasse, in the old town or by the lake, from €95 per vehicle for up to four people with luggage.
The old town and Bahnhofstrasse have pedestrian and restricted streets; the driver knows where a car can stop.
No changes and no carrying bags through stations.
The price is fixed at booking, including late evenings and Sundays.
Prices and airport details checked in October 2026.
Zurich is organised in numbered districts (Kreise). All we need is your hotel name or address: drive times range from 10 minutes to Oerlikon to half an hour to the east shore of the lake.
Hotels near Paradeplatz, Lindenhof and the Limmat. Many streets are pedestrian: we stop at the nearest permitted access.
Lakefront hotels, banking and insurance offices and the Rietberg Museum.
Former factories turned into hotels, restaurants and nightlife.
Residential hillside with lake views and the university hospitals.
Trade fairs, concerts and business hotels 10 minutes from the airport.
Quiet upmarket districts along the 'Gold Coast'.
Arrivals at Zurich are split between pier A for Schengen flights and piers B and E for the rest; pier E is linked by an underground Skymetro train. Whatever the pier, you come out in arrival hall 1 or 2 of the Airport Center, and that is where the driver stands with your name.
| Flying from | Pier | Passport control | To the arrivals hall |
|---|---|---|---|
| Schengen countries (EU, Iceland, Norway) | A | No | 15–25 min |
| United Kingdom and Ireland | B | Yes | 25–40 min |
| Americas, Asia and the Middle East | E (Skymetro train) | Yes | 35–55 min |

We track your flight live. The driver adjusts if you land early or late, and the free waiting time counts from the real landing.
Driver not in sight? The voucher lists a line staffed around the clock; WhatsApp +34 654 381 547 also reaches us.

Many Zurich Airport transfers end in the mountains. From November to April our vehicles run on winter tyres and drivers know where snow changes the plan. What we take into account on each route:
| Resort | Our route | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Zermatt | Bern, Thun and the Lötschberg car train (Kandersteg–Goppenstein), or the Grimsel Pass in summer | Zermatt is car-free: we drop you at the Täsch terminal next to the 12-minute shuttle. |
| St. Moritz | Walensee, Chur and the Julier Pass | The Julier is open all year; heavy snow can add 30 minutes. |
| Davos | Walensee, Landquart and the Prättigau | During the World Economic Forum in January there are access controls: tell us when booking. |
| Lech am Arlberg | Lake Constance, Feldkirch and the Arlberg | The Flexen Pass can close for avalanche risk; we check the road before leaving. |
| Interlaken | Lucerne and the Brünig Pass | Scenic route along Lake Brienz; in winter we go via Bern if the Brünig is difficult. |
Skis, boards and boot bags fit in the boot if you mention them when booking; for groups with lots of gear we assign a minivan.
Choose by seats and boot space: a family of four with skis usually needs a minivan rather than a standard car.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard car | 1–4 | Two large cases plus hand luggage |
| Executive saloon or SUV | 1–3 | Business in Zurich or luxury stays in St. Moritz |
| Minivan | 5–8 | Families with skis or teams with equipment |
| Minibus | 9–16 | Company groups, congresses and ski trips |

Each traveller has a hold case (158 cm total) and a cabin bag; declared skis and golf bags ride free. Child seats for groups I to III are free. All vehicles in our fleet.
We drive to any address in Zurich. If you have not booked yet, these six stand out for location and character:
Talstrasse · Kreis 1
Family-run since 1844, with its own park between the lake and the Schanzengraben canal.
Zürichberg · Kreis 7
1899 palace above the city with a 4,000 m² spa and Alpine views.
Rennweg · Kreis 1
Nine medieval houses joined together in the old town, with a jazz bar.
Weinplatz · Kreis 1
On the Limmat, with a terrace facing the town hall.
Langstrasse · Kreis 4
Design hotel in the city's liveliest district.
The Circle · airport
Inside The Circle complex, five minutes' walk from arrivals.
| Sight | What to know |
|---|---|
| Grossmünster and Lindenhof | The twin towers of the minster and the viewpoint over the Limmat, ten minutes' walk apart. |
| Bahnhofstrasse and Paradeplatz | Watchmakers, Sprüngli chocolates and the big banks' headquarters. |
| Kunsthaus Zürich | Giacometti, Monet and Munch in Switzerland's largest art museum. |
| Lindt Home of Chocolate | Museum with the world's tallest chocolate fountain, in Kilchberg. |
| Uetliberg | Zurich's own mountain, with views over the lake and the Alps. |
| FIFA Museum | The history of world football in Enge. |
Zurich is easy on foot, but places like Kilchberg or the Uetliberg fit into one morning with a driver: book a car with driver in Zurich by the hour.
| When | Event | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| January | World Economic Forum in Davos | Peak week for Zurich Airport–Davos transfers |
| April | Sechseläuten | Guild festival and the burning of the Böögg; road closures in the centre and by the lake |
| August | Street Parade | Music parade around the lake with streets closed all Saturday |
| November and December | Christmas markets | The indoor market at the main station and the Niederdorf market fill the old town |
Aim to be at ZRH 2 hours ahead of a Schengen departure and 2.5 hours ahead of a non-Schengen one, for example London or New York. From the mountains we add margin for snow.
| Leaving from | Drive | Schengen flight | Non-Schengen flight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zurich centre | 25 min | 2 h 30 min | 3 h |
| Lucerne | 55 min | 3 h | 3 h 30 min |

| Davos | 2 h | 4 h 15 min | 4 h 45 min |
| St. Moritz | 3 h | 5 h 15 min | 5 h 45 min |
