You pay for the car, whatever the number of travellers, at a price locked in at booking.
From €35 for the whole car, with up to four passengers: that is the starting fare from AGP into Malaga, agreed before you fly. Expect 15 to 20 minutes on the road, and the same €35 if you are heading for María Zambrano station instead.
The car reaches the door of many places in Malaga, but not in the historic centre, which is pedestrian. So write the hotel name or street rather than just "Malaga centre"; with that, your driver knows whether to pull up outside or at the closest legal spot.

María Zambrano station: from €35 per vehicle and about 15 minutes from the airport, with drop-off on the station forecourt. Add your train time so the driver adjusts the pick-up if the flight is late, and allow 75 minutes or more from touchdown to your train.

A party of five to eight goes in a minivan, priced instantly in the booking form. Bigger groups, up to 55, get a quote for a Malaga minibus or coach with driver.
A private transfer from Malaga Airport to Marbella costs from €72 per vehicle and takes 45 to 60 minutes. Puerto Banús starts at €79, San Pedro de Alcántara at €76 and Estepona at €95: on the western coast the fare depends on the exact address, because Marbella centre is not a villa in Nueva Andalucía or a resort in Benahavís.

In July and August, with traffic on the A-7 and AP-7, add margin. The time adds the drive, traffic and the check-in time your airline asks for.
The vehicle is chosen on passengers and luggage together: a family of four with large cases, a buggy and child seats may need a minivan. Each case can measure up to 158 cm adding length, width and height; bicycles and golf bags travel free but take a seat.
