Galdakao and Hospital Galdakao-Usansolo are no longer in the same municipality
Usansolo is now an independent municipality. The Hospital Universitario Galdakao-Usansolo is officially located at Barrio Labeaga 46-A, Usansolo. If the hospital is your actual destination, it is important to state this clearly when booking rather than selecting central Galdakao simply because of the hospital's name.
CORRECT DESTINATION
Galdakao and Hospital Galdakao-Usansolo now refer to different municipalities
This administrative separation has a practical impact on transfers: a home or business in Galdakao and an appointment at the hospital are different drop-off points, even though they share part of the same access corridor.
ERLETXE · 2026 ACCESS CHANGE
Erletxe Industrial Estate is no longer normally accessed from the N-634
Since 9 February 2026, the former access to the industrial estate from the N-634 has been permanently closed, with that section now reserved for pedestrians and cyclists.
The current standard access is via the BI-2713
If you are travelling to an Erletxe warehouse or company, providing the business name or exact industrial-estate address is useful. The transfer should use the current access route rather than relying on older directions from the N-634.

Kurtzea, Aperribai and Bengoetxe are separate arrival points within the municipality
Municipal references distinguish Aperribai, Bengoetxe, Urreta and central Galdakao. On a relatively short journey from BIO, the final section can still account for a significant part of the overall transfer.
Western part of Galdakao
Aperribai is identified as a separate local area in municipal services and is encountered before the town centre when approaching from the Bilbao area.
Business destination
For a business visit, the specific warehouse or company address and the BI-2713 access are more useful than a generic Galdakao destination.
KURTZEA
Iraragorri Etxea provides a precise drop-off point in Kurtzea
Hotel Iraragorri Etxea is located at Txomin Egileor 28, Kurtzea. It has parking and a meeting room, making it suitable both as an accommodation destination and as a stop for a business itinerary.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT FROM BIO
There is no direct airport bus from Bilbao Airport to Galdakao
Airport bus route A3247 connects BIO with Bilbao rather than Galdakao. Public-transport alternatives require a combination of services; current journey planners place some options at around 55–70 minutes, depending on the connection and final destination. The direct road journey is approximately 18 km.
The final connection can be as important as the main route
Public transport may be practical when the destination is close to a suitable stop or station. For Aperribai, a hotel or a specific company address, the additional journey from that point also needs to be considered.

Galdakao sits close to the metropolitan area while also providing a transition point towards inland Bizkaia. Several destinations share part of the approach from BIO before continuing along different corridors.

The route continues eastwards through the inland corridor and is a considerably longer journey from the airport.
