From €129 per car for up to four people, around 72 km (45 miles) on the A-42 and roughly one hour. Toledo's old town has restricted access, so the driver drops you at the Bisagra Gate, beside the Safont escalators or at your hotel if it has a vehicle entrance, such as the Parador or a cigarral estate.
Most guests book the outbound ride in the morning and the return in the late afternoon as two separate transfers.

When AVE tickets are sold out, there is a strike or you are simply travelling as a family with luggage, a private car is a practical alternative to the train: you leave when you choose and arrive at the exact address, with no transfer at Atocha and no taxi queue at the other end.

A private transfer starts at €165 in a saloon for up to four passengers, about 92 km (57 miles) on the AP-6 and AP-61 through the Guadarrama tunnel, roughly 70 minutes. The driver drops you by the aqueduct, at your hotel or at the royal palace of La Granja. The price is per vehicle, never per traveller.
