From €55 per vehicle to central Amsterdam, for one to four passengers. Tolls do not apply on this route; VAT and luggage are included.
Book a private car with Zonetransfers and your driver meets you at the Schiphol arrivals exit holding your name, then drives you about 20 km to your hotel on the canals, Amsterdam Centraal or the cruise terminal. Fixed price from €55 per vehicle for up to four people, set when you book.
The quickest way to reach central Amsterdam from Schiphol with luggage is a pre-booked private transfer: no queue, no change of vehicle and a driver who follows your flight. Schiphol sits about 20 km south-west of Dam Square, and the drive to most city-centre hotels takes 25 to 35 minutes.
From €55 per vehicle to central Amsterdam, for one to four passengers. Tolls do not apply on this route; VAT and luggage are included.
25 to 35 minutes along the A4 and A10 ring road, depending on traffic and how deep into the old centre your hotel is.
Your driver stands at the exit of your arrivals hall with a name sign and walks you to the car parked outside Schiphol Plaza.
Prices and airport information checked in October 2026.
Schiphol has one terminal with four arrivals halls, numbered 1 to 4. Your hall depends on the pier your plane parks at and appears on the baggage-belt screens. Non-Schengen arrivals add 20 to 45 minutes for passport control at busy times; the driver allows for it.
Stay in Schiphol Plaza and ring the 24-hour number on your voucher, or send a WhatsApp to +34 654 381 547. Ignore anyone in the hall offering a ride: your driver always carries your name.
Most of the city inside the A10 ring has a 30 km/h speed limit, and the historic canal streets are narrow, one-way and shared with bikes. Knowing the drop-off point for your area saves a lot of walking with suitcases.
| Area | Landmarks | Drive time | Drop-off note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Canal ring (Grachtengordel) | Prinsengracht, Herengracht, Keizersgracht | 30–35 min | Narrow one-way quays: the driver stops at the nearest legal spot, often a few doors away. |
| Jordaan and Nine Streets | Westerkerk, Noordermarkt, Negen Straatjes | 30–35 min | Many lanes are closed to cars; we agree a corner close to the door. |
| Old centre and Dam | Dam Square, Rokin, Nieuwmarkt | 30–35 min | Parts of the Red Light District are car-free; drop-off on the nearest open street. |
| Amsterdam Centraal | Station hotels, IJ waterfront | 25–35 min | Drop-off at the station forecourt or the hotel entrance. |
| Museum Quarter and De Pijp | Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Albert Cuyp | about 25 min | Wide avenues with easy kerbside stops. |
| Zuid, Zuidas and RAI | Business district, RAI congress centre | 15–20 min | The closest part of the city to Schiphol. |
| Amsterdam Noord | NDSM, A'DAM Tower, Overhoeks | 30–40 min | Reached by road under the IJ. |
| Amstelveen and Hoofddorp | Offices and airport-area hotels | 10–20 min | Short hops for business travellers. |

Your fare does not change for evening traffic, a 6 am landing or a Sunday arrival. Tell us the hotel name or street address and the driver plans the last few hundred metres for you.
Amsterdam cruise passengers can embark at three different places, and IJmuiden is more than 30 km from the PTA. Check the terminal on your cruise documents and give it to us with your boarding time.
Piet Heinkade 27, on the IJ about 1.5 km east of Centraal. Ocean cruise ships; the city caps sea cruise calls at around 100 a year from 2026.
Sluisplein 55, where the North Sea Canal meets the sea, for ships that do not sail into the city.
De Ruyterkade and Oosterdokskade near Centraal; some river lines now berth in Zaandam.
Flying in on embarkation day? Leave a generous margin: the cruise line sets the boarding cut-off, and a delayed flight is the most common reason travellers arrive late at the pier.
