Suits individual, hospital or business trips with standard luggage.
Book a private airport transfer from Terminal 1, 2, 3 or 4 at Madrid-Barajas to anywhere in Guadalajara: the city centre, the University Hospital, Guadalajara railway station, Guadalajara-Yebes AVE station, your hotel, your office or your home. The car follows the A-2 east, with no detour through central Madrid.
Guadalajara lies east of Madrid, so you can reach it from Barajas without crossing the capital. The A-2 links the airport area with Alcalá de Henares, Torrejón, Azuqueca and, finally, Guadalajara.

If you are flying into Madrid and heading for Guadalajara, going first to Atocha or Chamartín adds a leg you may not need. This matters most if you have several suitcases, children or professional equipment, or if your final stop is a hospital, an office or a hotel.

Private transfers from Madrid-Barajas Airport to Guadalajara start from €100 per vehicle. The price is confirmed before you book and depends on the terminal, final address, number of passengers, luggage and the vehicle required.
Suits individual, hospital or business trips with standard luggage.
A better fit for several suitcases, pushchairs or small groups.
Larger vehicles can be arranged for conferences, cultural groups, company visits and teams.

The A-2 runs through the Henares Corridor towards Zaragoza, passing Torrejón de Ardoz, Alcalá de Henares and Azuqueca de Henares before reaching Guadalajara.
The airport sits close to the A-2, so the journey to Guadalajara can start without entering central Madrid.
Most of the trip follows a single corridor, although traffic can build up on weekday commuter runs.
The last stretch depends on where you are going: the old town, the conventional station, the hospital or the road towards Guadalajara-Yebes.
The A-2 carries daily traffic between Madrid, Torrejón, Alcalá de Henares and Guadalajara. At peak times, allow extra time rather than relying on the quickest time a navigation app shows on a clear road.
Guadalajara has two railway stations in different places. The conventional station is in Plaza de la Estación and is served by Cercanías lines C-2 and C-8. Guadalajara-Yebes is the high-speed (AVE) station, about 8 km from the centre.
| Station | Main services | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Guadalajara | Cercanías C-2 / C-8 | Plaza de la Estación, inside the city |
| Guadalajara-Yebes | AVE and long-distance services | N-320, approx. 8 km from the centre |
If you are connecting to an AVE, Alvia or other long-distance train, check whether your ticket says Guadalajara-Yebes. If you are taking Cercanías, the station you want is normally Guadalajara.
Guadalajara-Yebes stands beside the N-320, close to Ciudad Valdeluz and between the municipalities of Guadalajara and Yebes. Adif places it about 8 km from Guadalajara centre. The station can be used directly as the drop-off point, so if you are continuing by high-speed train to Zaragoza, Barcelona or elsewhere, you do not need to stop in Guadalajara centre first.
The centre, the C-2/C-8 station and the AVE station are not interchangeable. Your train number and final address are the details that matter on this route.
Renfe lists around 23 minutes between Guadalajara-Yebes and Madrid by high-speed train. Starting from the airport, though, you still have to reach Atocha or Chamartín and fit in the train. A direct transfer works differently: terminal to final destination.
Guadalajara is linked to Madrid by Cercanías lines C-2 and C-8, but there is no direct train from every Barajas terminal. You first need to join Madrid's rail network.
From T4 you can take Cercanías and change onto the lines towards Guadalajara. From the other terminals, the Metro, the airport shuttle or other combinations may be involved, depending on your route.
| Option | Main advantage | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Private transfer | Terminal to hotel, hospital, office or station | Costs more than Cercanías for a solo traveller |
| Cercanías | Good Madrid → Guadalajara connection | From the airport you need to change within Madrid |
| AVE | Very fast from Madrid to Guadalajara-Yebes | Barajas → Atocha/Chamartín, then the train, then possibly a final leg |
| Taxi | Leaves straight from the terminal | Intercity journey, with a different fare from a taxi within central Madrid |
A private transfer is not the best answer for everyone. It makes most sense with several passengers, heavy luggage, awkward arrival times or a destination far from the station.
The Hospital Universitario de Guadalajara is on Calle Donante de Sangre s/n and can be your drop-off point straight from Barajas, with no need to go via the station or the old town. It suits patients, relatives and healthcare staff arriving by air with luggage. For a stay of several days, tell us how many suitcases you have and how big they are before the vehicle is assigned.
The Palacio del Infantado is Guadalajara's best-known landmark and a handy reference for hotels and sightseeing in the old town. Guadalajara's official tourism route also takes in the Palacio de Antonio de Mendoza, the Palacio de la Cotilla (home of the Salón Chino), the Torreón de Álvar Fáñez and the Concatedral de Santa María. Parque de la Concordia is a city reference point near the centre, while the Panteón de la Duquesa de Sevillano lies in another part of town.
Located at Avenida Venezuela 15, a few minutes' walk from the centre, with private parking that can take coaches and rooms for events. Parking suitable for coaches also makes it easier to organise group arrivals straight from Barajas. For other central hotels and apartments, give us the exact address and we will end the transfer there.
The A-2 is one of the main logistics and industrial corridors around Madrid, and many trips to Guadalajara end at warehouses, plants, offices or business parks rather than in the city centre. Use the company's exact address rather than the city centre.
If your company is actually in Azuqueca de Henares, Cabanillas del Campo or another municipality, give us that address directly. There is no point travelling to Guadalajara city first.
For meetings with several stops, or if you need a vehicle available during the day, you can combine the transfer with:
