Private Transfer from Hong Kong Airport to Kowloon | Fixed Price & Online Booking

Pre-booked private service

Book a private taxi from Hong Kong Airport to Kowloon

Book a private vehicle from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) directly to your destination in Kowloon. Your driver will meet you after immigration, baggage reclaim and customs in Terminal 1, with direct transfers to Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan, Mong Kok, West Kowloon, Hung Hom, Kai Tak, Kowloon City or Kowloon Bay.

Your final destination matters

Kowloon is not a single destination

Journey times and access vary considerably between West Kowloon, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok and Kowloon Bay. For this reason, your booking should include your hotel name or full address. A transfer to Kowloon Station requires different planning from a journey to Kai Tak, Hung Hom or a building on Nathan Road.

From Chek Lap Kok, the usual route follows Airport Road, North Lantau Highway and Lantau Link before continuing via West Kowloon Highway or the eastern access roads into the Kowloon Peninsula, depending on your destination. Traffic congestion and access to the final address may affect the estimated journey time.

Arriving at HKG

From the arrivals hall to your pre-booked vehicle

International passengers arrive at Terminal 1 and enter the public arrivals area after completing immigration, collecting their luggage and passing through customs. The airport has Arrivals Halls A and B, and your exact meeting point will be confirmed before your transfer to avoid unnecessary walking with your luggage.

1

Landing and immigration

The time needed to reach the public arrivals area depends on your arrival gate, immigration queues and baggage reclaim.

2

Exit through Arrivals Hall A or B

Your meeting instructions are linked to the appropriate exit and the flight details provided when your booking was made.

3

Walk to your vehicle

Your driver will escort you to the authorised pick-up area. Hong Kong International Airport has designated collection points for pre-booked transfer services.

4

Direct transfer to Kowloon

There is no need to get off at Kowloon Station or continue by MTR with your luggage. Your transfer takes you directly to the address provided in your booking.

Airport waiting time included: up to 60 minutes free of charge. For amendments, cancellations and waiting time policies, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Districts and access routes

Which part of Kowloon is your transfer heading to?

Kowloon covers several districts with different layouts and access routes. A destination near Elements or Kowloon Station is located in the western part of the peninsula, while Kai Tak and Kowloon Bay require travelling further east. Knowing your exact destination helps us plan the pick-up, allocate the most suitable vehicle and allow enough time for appointments or onward connections.

West Kowloon and Kowloon Station

A convenient area for connections with the Airport Express, Elements, ICC and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. A private transfer removes the need to change transport when travelling with several suitcases or catching a train afterwards.

Tsim Sha Tsui

A busy hotel district centred around Nathan Road, Canton Road, Salisbury Road and the Victoria Harbour waterfront. Final access may vary depending on hotel entrances, service roads and local traffic conditions.

Jordan and Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhoods located north of Tsim Sha Tsui, with numerous hotels and accommodation along Nathan Road. Providing the exact building or hotel name helps your driver find the correct entrance.

Mong Kok

A vibrant commercial district with heavy traffic, particularly around Nathan Road, Argyle Street and Prince Edward. Your arrival time may influence the final part of the journey.

Hung Hom and Kowloon City

Ideal for hotels, residential areas and destinations close to Hung Hom Station. The route usually continues beyond West Kowloon towards the central and eastern areas of the peninsula.

Kai Tak and Kowloon Bay

Eastern destinations close to the former airport site, Kai Tak Sports Park and Kowloon Bay's business districts. Transfers to these areas are generally longer than journeys to West Kowloon.

Road conditions and traffic

What can affect your estimated journey time?

The drive to West Kowloon is typically around 30 kilometres and usually takes approximately 30–40 minutes in favourable traffic conditions. Destinations further east or heavy congestion on urban roads may increase the journey time to around 45–50 minutes or longer.

  • Traffic on North Lantau Highway or Lantau Link.
  • Congestion on West Kowloon Highway and surrounding urban roads.
  • Traffic along Nathan Road and nearby streets.
  • Roadworks, events or temporary restrictions around Kai Tak.
  • Time required to locate your hotel entrance.
Making the right choice

Direct transfer or train to Kowloon Station?

The Airport Express is a fast way to reach Kowloon Station, but it may not leave every traveller close to their accommodation. The best option depends on your final destination, the number of passengers, your luggage and whether you need to travel directly to a hotel, an intercity railway station or a venue in eastern Kowloon.

Travel situation What to consider Recommended option
Hotel near Kowloon Station Actual walking distance from the station to the entrance Airport Express or pre-booked transfer, depending on your luggage and group size
Accommodation in Tsim Sha Tsui or Mong Kok Continuing your journey from the station while handling luggage Direct transfer to your destination
Destination in Kai Tak or Kowloon Bay Additional journey to the eastern part of Kowloon Pre-booked vehicle directly to your hotel or venue
Family or group with several suitcases Luggage capacity and the need for multiple taxis Vehicle selected according to passengers and luggage
Connection at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station Time needed for immigration, baggage reclaim and access to your train Direct transfer with your train departure time provided in advance
Vehicle and luggage

Your luggage should determine the vehicle size

Passengers arriving on international flights often travel with checked luggage. The number of seats alone is not enough to choose the right vehicle. Please also let us know how many large suitcases, cabin bags, pushchairs, child seats or oversized items you are travelling with. This allows us to allocate a vehicle with sufficient luggage space for your journey to Kowloon.

Solo travellers or couples

City hotel with standard luggage

Please specify how many checked suitcases you are bringing. Two passengers travelling with four large bags may require a different vehicle category from those travelling with cabin luggage only.

Families

Pushchairs and child seats

Child seats must be requested before your booking is confirmed. Please include the children's ages and let us know if you are travelling with a pushchair so we can allocate enough space.

Groups

Minivan or larger vehicle

For groups arriving on the same flight, a single vehicle can make the journey to Tsim Sha Tsui, Kai Tak or hotels further away from Kowloon Station much more straightforward.

View the available vehicle categories in the Zonetransfers fleet. Child seats, special luggage, additional stops and other extras are available on request.

Common travel scenarios

When your transfer requires additional planning

Not every transfer from HKG to Kowloon is arranged in the same way. A hotel on Nathan Road requires the exact entrance to be confirmed, a rail connection needs sufficient time, and an event at Kai Tak may result in additional traffic and restricted access.

Connection at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station

Please provide your train departure time. Enough time should be allowed for immigration, baggage reclaim, customs, meeting your driver and the journey to the station.

Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui or on Nathan Road

Please provide the full hotel name. In an area with several nearby hotels, knowing the exact entrance helps avoid confusion between buildings and side entrances.

Event at Kai Tak

Please let us know the venue and the admission time. Large events may affect traffic conditions and the authorised passenger drop-off points around Kai Tak Sports Park.

Return journey

Pick-up in Kowloon for your transfer to HKG

Your return transfer can be booked from a hotel, apartment, office or railway station. Your pick-up time should not be based solely on the normal journey time. It is also important to allow for your airline's recommended check-in time, traffic from your specific district and the time required to reach the correct terminal.

Hotel, railway station and address pick-ups include 15 minutes of complimentary waiting time. Please check your travel date carefully if your flight departs after midnight, as your pick-up may need to be scheduled on the previous day.
