A short journey with no harbour to cross
The airport is located on Chek Lap Kok, an artificial island connected to Lantau, where Hong Kong Disneyland was built on reclaimed land at Penny's Bay. The route follows North Lantau Highway without crossing bridges towards Kowloon or using tunnels to Hong Kong Island, making it one of the shortest airport transfers available.
Journey time and opening hours are provided for guidance only. Park opening times may vary depending on the season or special events.
From airport pick-up to the park entrance
Meet your driver after immigration and baggage reclaim
Your driver will be waiting with a name board at the designated meeting point opposite Arrivals Halls A and B. Up to 60 minutes of waiting time is included at no extra charge.
A single motorway journey
The vehicle remains on Lantau Island throughout the journey, avoiding the bridges towards Kowloon and the harbour tunnels, resulting in more consistent journey times than transfers to other parts of Hong Kong.
Direct drop-off, no Disney train required
Public transport reaches the park via the Disneyland Resort Line, just two stops from Sunny Bay, using trains with Mickey Mouse-shaped windows. A private transfer avoids this interchange and drops you directly at the main entrance.
What to do with large luggage
Large suitcases are not practical for a day in the park. You may wish to leave them in the vehicle, use the park's luggage storage facilities, or arrange your transfer to stop at your hotel before heading to Disneyland.
When your flight lands before the park opens
An overnight or early morning flight may arrive several hours before the park's usual 10:30 opening time. In that case, it is worth deciding in advance whether your transfer should take you straight to the park to wait near the entrance, or stop at your hotel first so you can leave your luggage and relax before your visit.
Waiting time conditions and any service schedule changes are covered in the Zonetransfers Terms & Conditions.
Leaving after the evening show
The day usually ends with the evening castle show, when a large proportion of visitors leave the park at the same time. Arranging your pick-up a few minutes after the show finishes, rather than exactly at official closing time, helps avoid the busiest crowds at the main exit.
- 1
Family travelling with a pushchair and young childrenIt is advisable to request child seats in advance and allow extra time to collect your pushchair before reaching the meeting point.
- 2
Group arriving at different timesIf part of the group enters when the park opens and the rest arrives later, it may be more practical to arrange two separate transfers.
- 3
Returning to the airport after a full dayIf you have an evening flight, allow for the crowds leaving after the evening show as well as the time needed for check-in.
Child seats and special luggage requirements can be requested when booking. View the available vehicles in the Zonetransfers fleet.
If you're staying at a Disney hotel rather than visiting the park directly
Disney's Hollywood Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge and Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel are located beside the park and provide their own shuttle service to the entrance. In this case, your private transfer will drop you at your hotel rather than at the park entrance. Be sure to specify the exact hotel when booking so your driver takes you to the correct destination.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to travel from Hong Kong Airport to Hong Kong Disneyland?
The journey usually takes between 20 and 30 minutes, as it remains on Lantau Island without crossing any tunnels or bridges to other parts of Hong Kong.
Do you have to cross any tunnels or bridges?
No. Unlike transfers to Kowloon or Hong Kong Island, the journey stays entirely on Lantau Island via North Lantau Highway.
Where does the driver drop passengers off: the park entrance or the railway station?
Your driver will drop you at the park's main entrance. The Disneyland Resort Line is the usual public transport option, but a private transfer takes you directly to the entrance without using the train.
Can I leave large suitcases somewhere before entering the park?
The park is not designed for visitors carrying large suitcases. You can choose to leave them in the vehicle, use the park's luggage storage facilities, or arrange for your transfer to stop at your hotel first.
What happens if my flight lands before the park opens at 10:30?
You can arrange to go directly to the park and wait for opening time, or stop at your hotel first. It is best to decide this when booking according to your flight schedule.
How is pick-up arranged after the evening fireworks show?
We recommend scheduling your pick-up shortly after the show finishes, as the main exit becomes particularly busy immediately afterwards.
Can I request a baby seat for the journey?
Yes. Child seats can be requested when booking according to the child's age.
Does the drop-off point change if we're staying at a Disney hotel?
Yes. Your transfer will take you directly to the selected hotel (Disney's Hollywood Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge or Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel) instead of the park's main entrance.
