Hotel, station or Cimavilla
For hotels and urban addresses, provide the exact street address, particularly when the destination is close to the historic centre.
This is a long-distance interregional journey along the Cantabrian corridor. Once you reach Gijón, the city centre, Cabueñes and El Musel are separate destinations, so the final address matters for the last part of the journey.
A private transfer from Bilbao Airport to Gijón starts at €396 per vehicle for a journey of approximately 269 km and 2 h 50 min–3 h. Pickup is arranged at BIO and the vehicle continues directly to Gijón city centre, a hotel, Cabueñes, a business address or El Musel, with no intermediate changes and the booking price known before the service.
The route follows the Cantabrian coast westwards, crosses Cantabria and enters Asturias before reaching Gijón. For a journey of this length, it is important to allow sufficient time rather than treating the 2 h 50 min figure as a guaranteed arrival time.
If you need to stop in Santander, Llanes or another location along the route, mention it when requesting the service. A planned stop should not be treated as automatically included in a direct BIO → Gijón transfer.
For hotels and urban addresses, provide the exact street address, particularly when the destination is close to the historic centre.
Hospital de Cabueñes, the Scientific and Technological Park and addresses in eastern Gijón do not require the journey to finish in the city centre first.
El Musel lies outside the city centre, towards Jove and Campa de Torres. If the port is your destination, it should be specified when making the booking.
The Port Authority places El Musel outside the city centre, on the coast around Jove, Musel and Campa de Torres. A transfer to the Port of Gijón should therefore be booked with the port as the actual destination rather than simply specifying Gijón city centre.
The port complex covers a large area and includes different quays and facilities. Providing the ship name, company or meeting point helps define the final destination correctly.
Current public transport connections first require travelling from Bilbao Airport to Bilbao Intermodal and then continuing towards Asturias. The available land-based options are around 5 h 40 min–6 h 20 min, compared with approximately 2 h 50 min of direct driving.
On a journey of almost 270 km, a delayed departure from the airport also pushes the arrival in Asturias back by several hours. If you have an appointment, boarding time or event in Gijón, allow enough time to reach your required destination.
A BIO-to-hotel transfer in Gijón is a point-to-point service. If you also need El Musel, Oviedo, business meetings or several locations during the day, a chauffeur-driven arrangement may be more suitable than booking several separate transfers.
The journey ends considerably earlier than Gijón, without continuing along the eastern coast of Asturias.
The route heads inland into Asturias, so it is not an alternative destination for a transfer that is specifically booked to Gijón.
This is an intermediate coastal destination in Cantabria and a much shorter journey from BIO.
One of the first major coastal destinations after leaving Bizkaia westwards.
Specify whether you are travelling to the city centre, Cabueñes, El Musel, a hotel or a business address and check the private transfer service from €396 per vehicle.
