Travelling from Almería Airport to Malaga means covering more than 200 km before facing one final important decision: finishing your journey at María Zambrano is not the same as being dropped off by the Port, La Malagueta, Soho or at accommodation in the Old Town with restricted access. That is why, on this long-distance route, your final destination should be confirmed before leaving LEI.
After around two and a half hours on the road, the final part of the journey depends on where you are heading. María Zambrano is in El Perchel; Soho and the Old Town occupy different areas around the Guadalmedina; La Malagueta is east of the city centre and the Port has its own access routes. Providing a specific address avoids having to search for the right access point at the end of a long journey.
If you are continuing by AVE, Media Distancia or Cercanías train, specify the station as your destination. It is located on Explanada de la Estación, in the El Perchel area, and there is no need to cross the Old Town to complete the transfer.
Some parts of the city centre have access controls and restrictions on motor traffic. If your accommodation is on an affected street, it may be necessary to use the nearest accessible drop-off point rather than travelling literally to the door.
These destinations are east of the central area. An address in La Malagueta is not the same as a drop-off on Calle Larios or at María Zambrano, particularly when traffic along the seafront corridor is heavy.
If your transfer connects with a cruise, provide the ship name, terminal and expected time. Malaga Port has cruise terminals at the Levante Quay, so "Malaga Port" may be too general to coordinate the drop-off.

On a 214 km journey, discovering that a street is restricted only on arrival adds an unnecessary complication to the final section. Providing the accommodation details when booking makes it possible to distinguish between access points in the Old Town, Soho, El Perchel and La Malagueta.
