With Zonetransfers.com you will have the possibility to visit Murcia with a private driver and see the best places of interest in the city:
Santa María Cathedral and the Episcopal Palace: If we were to ask any resident what is the most beautiful thing in the city, probably the great majority would agree that it is Santa María Cathedral, in fact it is the most important monument. This building began its construction in the 14th century and some time later the old medieval tower was demolished to raise the Cross portal and the Renaissance tower, one of the most beautiful parts of the facade together with the side doors of the Apostles and the Chains. Inside you can admire the beauty of the Velé and Junterones chapels. You can also visit the Sacred Art Museum where the sculptures of Francisco Salzillo from Murcia, considered one of the most important baroque artists in Spain, stand out.
Trapería y Platería: A few minutes from the cathedral are the two most famous and historic streets of Murcia, I mean those known under the name of Trapería y Platería. This is a lively and lively area where various eras coexisted adding cultural value to the area.
What to eat and see in Trapería Street?
We would have to go back to the year 1266 with the reconquest of Jaime I of Aragon after the rise of the Mudejars to understand the main function that Trapería Street played. It was an avenue that went as far as the mosque, which is where the cathedral is today, and served to make the division between where Christians and Muslims should remain. Its name is due to the profession that was exercised there in the Middle Ages, when traders worked the skins and sold them to the highest bidder.
What to eat and see in Platería Street?
On the other hand, Platería Street, which crosses La Trapería Street, is another of the Murcian jewels that receives its name, as in the previous case, from the profession that was practiced there. Nowadays there are still shops dedicated to jewellery but we can also find other types of shops such as clothes, pharmacies or telephone shops.
Plaza de Santo Domingo: This square was of great importance in the past because it was an open shopping centre where mainly garden products were sold. It was also a place of celebration since the most typical festivals were held there. Probably as soon as you arrive you will be surprised by a huge tree, a Ficus planted in 1893 whose roots are said to reach the Plaza Circular, that is, more than half a kilometer away.
Paseo Alfonso X: This avenue is perfect to rest from an intense day walking each of the streets of Murcia. It is one of the few that has shade and also often has festivals so it is one of the best ways to cool down on a hot day.
This area is known by the locals under the name of "tontódromo" because in the past the young people of the time would go to that street to walk around with their dates while "fooling around".
Plaza de las Flores: Another place to try Murcia's delicacies is in the Plaza de las flores, which is also a place frequented by locals where they usually meet up with friends and family to enjoy a beer accompanied by a tapa under the bright sun. This place is located parallel to the Gran Vía, that is to say in the centre of the city, where several streets of the old town end, so it is possible to appreciate beautiful facades from other times.
Originally this square was known as the Butchers' Square until in 1894 the Fernando Flower Shop was opened, filling it with flowers, and thus bringing even more beauty to the place.
Salzillo Museum: This 18th century Murcian baroque sculptor is the most famous in the region and one of the most renowned nationally and internationally, and of whom every Murcian is proud. The collection of the most complete works of Francisco Salzillo can be found in the Museum that bears his name, where you can enjoy the passion that the sculptor put into creating figures of Bethlehem, sanctuary arts and Easter floats, of which, the latter, the Murcians still exhibit in their processions.

Very pleased that we chose to book our transfers with airport transfers. Only waited a few minutes for minibus on arrival at Valencia - quick journey to the hotel without all the drop offs with usual coaches. Phoned two days before leaving for pick up time. Bus arrived on time and again had a problem free transfer to the airport. Would highly recommend booking transfers with this company.(12/01/2021) Tracy Mier
This service was excellent. We used it for a round-trip transfer from Paris, the cars were on time, spacious, and the drivers were fantastic, and they also spoke good English! Fully recommended. "(12/01/2021) E.Y.
"We booked this transfer service from Santander airport to our hotel in Santander, then to Bilbao and then back to the airport at the end of the week, the drivers were always on time, very friendly and they also gave us lots of information along the way with a nice and comfortable class E Mercedes. The cost of the transfer was lower than public taxis, which are not so comfortable. I highly recommend this service and this company."(12/01/2021) Peter Casey
We booked our holiday last minute after getting our negative PCR test result. This meant we booked the transfer late in the evening for the next day, but everything was done so well. When we arrived in Ibiza the driver was already there and at the end of the holiday the driver was a few minutes early for the pick up to take us back.(12/01/2021) Dick
We would like to say a big thank you for your help with our transfers to and from Madrid Barajas. We had a problem with one of our relatives who had missed the connecting flight due to delays. I contacted you immediately to see if you could help us, you were very kind in organizing a further transfer for our relative. Our return to the airport was equally perfect, our driver was waiting for us outside our hotel, as agreed. Timely, friendly staff, well-equipped minibuses and excellent service. I will recommend it to friends and relatives and if we come back to Italy in the future, we will definitely use you again.(12/01/2021) Andrew Louby

My group from the UK had a great experience with Zonetransfers!! Our flight was delayed but the driver waited patiently for us. The van was a clean new Mercedes and was able to comfortably fit 8 people and luggage including 4 huge ski bags. Once in Sierra Nevada the driver was very helpful finding our chalet, speaking spanish with the rental office. On top of this, I accidentally left my IPhone in the van and Zonetransfers sent someone to hand delivered it to me at the train station. Wonderful customer service! Highly recommend!(03/01/2021) Michelle Dodge
Last summer I contacted them to manage my trip in Menorca and I’m so glad I did that: it’d have been an hell without their precious help. This Christmas we booked again for Lanzarote.
