Getaria lies around 5 km beyond Zarautz on the N-634. Rather than ending the journey in Zarautz, the vehicle follows the coastal road to the actual destination in Getaria.

The two towns are close to one another, but reaching Getaria means completing the N-634 coastal section and then continuing to the specific address within the municipality.

Hotel Iturregi is in Askizu, in a traditional farmhouse surrounded by txakoli vineyards. If this is your accommodation, the transfer needs to continue to Askizu rather than ending in central Getaria.

Public transport from BIO normally involves Zarautz on the way to Getaria

There is currently no direct bus between Bilbao Airport terminal and Getaria. A common public transport combination reaches Zarautz first and then continues to Getaria-Frontoia, with a total journey time of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. If your accommodation is in Askizu, another final journey is still required from the town centre.

Getaria bus stop may not be your actual final destination

For accommodation in the town centre, the final walk from a nearby stop may be sufficient. Rural accommodation, substantial luggage or an address in Askizu may require an additional leg after reaching Getaria.
