Itinerary

Want to spend a day in Grenada and you're in Málaga?
Spend an unforgettable day on a day trip to Grenada, visiting the Alhambra and the Generalife gardens.

Come with us! You'll have a car and driver at your full disposal to visit the city.

Where to begin?

If you still haven't decided for places to see, here are our top picks:

ALHAMBRA AND GENERALIFE

Start your tour at the Alhambra, a UNESCO Heritage Site palace which was built between the XIII and XIV centuries by the Nazeri people of the Muslim Grenada. Get your tickets in advance and you'll enjoy the viwes of the Generalife gardens and the palace.

Visit the Generalife Palace and its gardens, the Alcazaba, Carlos V's Palace, the Nazeri Palaces and the museums.

Tickets to The Alhambra, Generalife, Alcazaba and Jardines not included. Must be bought in advance.

ALBAYZÍN

Going down from the Alhambra you will see another UNESCO Heritage Site. The Albayzin quarter was home to the arabian population that remained in Grenada after the reconquest, and up to this day, you can appreciate the artistic legacy on its streets and ornaments.

SAN NICOLÁS VIEWPOINT

On top of the Albayzin district you'll find the San Nicolás viewpoint, where you'll get the perfect view of the Alhambra with the Sierra Nevada peacefully resting behind. Take a break here along with the rest of the people who come by to see the views and take a few photographs. You can even improve this view by looking at during the sunset.

GRENADA CATHEDRAL

The Grenada Cathedral was built over a mosque at the beginnind of the XVI century, and it's the second biggest cathedral in the country. Once you enter, be impressed with the mixture of gothic and renaissance styles.

Right next to the cathedral you'll find the Capilla Real, where you'll find the crypts of the Catholic Kings.

Tickets to the Grenada Cathedral not included. Can be bought upon arrival.

ALCAICERÍA

Located where the great bazaar used to be, today it's just a street filled with giftshops, where you'll be able to take a few souvenirs home.

SACROMONTE

At the east of Albayzin, you'll find the place where the gypsy community arrived after the reconquest. If you plan your visit ahead, you could be able to see a real flameco show at a cave house.

Tickets to shows not included. Should be planned ahead.

BAÑUELO

The most remarkable thing about these baths is that they only survived the reconquest beacuse they were hidden behind private property. Here, you'll be able to see and learn a bir about the lifestyle of a hammam during the Emir days.

Tickets to the Bañuelo not included.

CARRERA DEL DARRO AND PASEO DE LOS TRISTES

Just under the Albayzín quarter you'll find one of the most romantic walks in the city. It becomes thinner every certain lenghts, but the views from the Alhambra - especially at sunset - can't be better. If you walk ahead, you'll also find the paseo de los tristes. You can stop for a cup of coffee here.

CALLE DE LAS TETERÍAS

The calle de las teterías, actually called Calderería Nueva Street is the place in Grenada where you'll need to go to find alleys to immerse in the arabian culture. Tea shops, gift shops, craft stores, bakeries, and of course the classic kebab. Feel the real magic of Grenada and grab something to eat here, in one of the many places to do so.
